Arsenal agree £25 million fee for Kieran Tierney
Kieran Tierney is reportedly on his way to Arsenal to finalise a move to the North London club after a £25 million fee was agreed with Celtic.
Arsenal had been chasing the 22-year-old throughout the summer and with the English transfer window closing on Thursday it looks like the limited time left has finally forced the English Premier League side to meet Celtic’s demands for the Scotland international.
The £25 million fee has broken the Scottish transfer record set by Celtic when they sold Moussa Dembele for £20 million to Lyon last summer.
According to the Scottish Sun, Tierney is likely to sign a five-year deal on £75,000 per week - if he passes a medical.
Tierney missed 20 games last season through injury and has lately been out after going under the knife for a double hernia injury and was recently suffering from a Osteitis pubis issue.
The Celtic full back graduated from the Celtic Youth Academy and played under Ronny Deila, before taking his game to new levels when Brendan Rodgers was manager but has not featured under Neil Lennon this season due to ongoing injury issues.
