Man City's Arzani focused on proving himself at Celtic
After a season ending injury last season, Celtic’s Daniel Arzani is looking to put his 8 month hell behind him and get ready for the new season with the Scottish champions.
Signed from Manchester City on a two-season loan deal, Arzani tore his ACL on his debut for Celtic last November against Dundee.
But with the Aussie World Cup star now fighting fit he knows this season will be a big one for him.
Speaking to Fox Football Podcast, the 20-year-old said: "I’ve set my eyes on next season being a big one for me. A lot of people of have been saying I have potential…but at the end of the day there’s still a lot unproven.
"Right now my main focus is just getting back from this ACL injury and feeling good.”
Despite the departure of Brendan Rodgers, who signed Arzani from the English champions, Arzani doesn’t believe it will affect his chances of first team football.
Arzani added: "For me (Rodgers' departure) doesn’t change anything. It was a challenge for me to play under Brendan Rodgers at the beginning - his mindset was to have his attackers defend a lot. It’s not an easy team to break into."
The Young Socceroos playmaker was signed by Manchester City from affiliate club, Melbourne City, last summer before being promptly loaned to Celtic.
