Rangers fans to boycott Glasgow hotel over congratulatory treble treble tweet

If you want a definition of pathetic and bitter individuals, look no further than the Rangers support. Fresh from watching their team finish the season nine points behind champions Celtic in the league and their big club lose to Neil Lennon’s side in the Scottish Cup, the bitter and twisted Rangers support are now boycotting a Glasgow hotel for posting a tweet!

After Celtic secured an historic treble treble on Saturday with their 2-1 win over Hearts at Hampden Park, the team travelled to the Radisson Red after the club’s victory parade had been cancelled due to incompetent organisation from Glasgow City Council and Police Scotland.

A day later the hotel’s twitter feed posted a congratulatory message, saying: “Congratulations Celtic on your historic win from Baxter and team RED!”

Baxter, was the hotel’s ambassadog and was nothing more than congratulating their clients from the weekend rather than siding with the club who actually rule the city.

But the tweet didn’t go down too well with the Rangers support and they announced that they would now be boycotting the hotel - not that many of them ever visited or could afford to stay or eat in it.

@specificgers claimed: “I stay here when me and the Mrs want a we [sic] night away from the house. Now need to find a new hotel to stay at ffs.” - uh huh your wife right ye are…. don’t you mean a lady of the night you pick up from the city centre?

@RZABrit added: “Think you just lost a whole lot of business with that tweet doh” - Somehow I think they may have gained a sizeable amount of more business with that tweet.

@StuartWelsh4 commented: I have a booking there along with 14 others for a wedding now #cancel” - I bet you the cancellation fee would hurt or help you change yer mind from acting the big man on twitter in front of all yer online pals!

It is a sad and upsetting situation for Rangers fans in the aftermath of that tweet - with the hotel having a policy of welcoming dogs to the hotel, where else are they going to take their sisters?
