Another Rodgers signing set to leave the club
Celtic defender Jack Hendry is being lined up for a season-long loan move to Hull City, after being deemed surplus to requirements by manager Neil Lennon.
The 24-year-old signed for Celtic in January 2018 from Dundee for £1.5 million, but despite showing some initial promise he has fallen down the pecking order and hasn’t played for the Scottish champions since February - and not at all under manager Neil Lennon.
One of Rodgers’ raft of failed signings, Hendry’s time at Celtic looks up despite a loan move being talked about. Neil Lennon has already signed Boli Bolingol-Mbombo, Christopher Jullien and Hatem Abd Elhamed to strengthen Celtic’s defensive options and the future looks bleak for Hendry with the Scottish champions.
With first team football next to non-existent at Celtic now, Hendry will almost certainly jump at the chance to secure regular first team football rather than stagnate in the stands.
