Lyon enter race to sign Celtic's Olivier Ntcham

Lyon in the latest club to join the race to sign Celtic midfielder £15 million-rated Olivier Ntcham, who is looking increasingly likely to leave the Scottish champions this summer.

Ntcham had been linked with a move to Portuguese giants Porto in the last two transfer windows, before Marseille threw their name into the hat at the tale of last season.

But now, Lyon are looking to raid Celtic again a year after their £20 million signing of former teammate Moussa Dembele - who has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool this summer.

Despite signing a four-year-deal in November, the £3 million signing of Motherwell’s David Turnbull looks set to be a prelude to Celtic cashing in on the French youth international.

His chances of a move to Lyon could be further boosted if he performs well for the French Under-21 side in the European Championships in Italy, starting on Tuesday when they play against England.

Ntcham has played 85 games in all competitions for Celtic, scoring 15 goals, since his £4.5 million move from Manchester City in July 2017.
